Yolonda Mae Towery, 85, of Providence, KY passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2024, at Shemwell's Health Care.

She was born on March 31, 1938, in Providence, KY. She is the daughter of the late Mr. James Jennings and Mrs. Reva Dean Grimes Jennings.

She was of the Primitive Baptist faith, she was  retired after 21 years of service to the St. Clair, MO., school system where she was the cafeteria manager, and she was a graduate of Providence High School. She was a good cook, and she enjoyed cooking for her family.

Mrs. Towery is survived by her husband of 67 years, Owen of Providence, KY, her sons, James Owen (Mary) Towery of St. Charles, MO; Keith Dwayne Towery of St. Clair, MO; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024, at 2:00PM in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel at Melton Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Coursey officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Shady Grove, KY.

Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the service hour on Saturday January 27, 2024, at Melton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Ladies Auxilliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
