Sue Farmer, 85, of Providence, KY passed away at her home on January 7, 2025, with her family by her side.

She was born on October 30, 1939, in Providence, KY, the daughter of the late Mr. Ernest Franklin Jennings and Mrs. Ruth Marie Smith Jennings. She was preceded by her husband LD Farmer in 2009, her daughter, Shawn Ware in 2019, and her brother Harold Jennings.

She was a member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church, she was a Custodian at the Providence Post Office for 15 years, she enjoyed cooking, baking, making candy, and fishing.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (William) Lantrip of Providence, KY; her sister, Gayle Jennings of Providence, KY; her grandchildren, Schyler (Leah) Farmer, Derrick Ware, Justin Ware, Jerrett Ware, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday January 9, 2025, in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel at Lewis Funeral Home LLC with Bro. Donnie Coursey officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennings Cemetery near Providence, KY.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time on Thursday January 9, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home LLC.
