Mattie Ila Brown,93, of Providence passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022, at the Hillside Villa in Madisonville.

She was born on March 4, 1928, in Providence, KY the daughter of the late Mr. Hervey Brown and Mrs. Lattis Boswell Brown. She was preceded in death by her brother Merritt Taylor "Curly" Brown, and one niece, Carolyn Ann Davis.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Victory Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading and studying the bible, she worked at the plastic factory in Providence, she enjoyed cooking for and spoiling her nephews.

She is survived by her great nephews, Steven (Melissa) Davis of Nashville, TN; Jeff (Wanda) Davis of Mortons Gap, KY; Jason (Laura) Davis of Clay, KY; several great great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2022, at Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Corbin officiating with burial to follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.

Visitation will be from 9:00AM until the service hour on Wednesday at the church.
