Mark Douglas Rector, 68, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away unexpectedly on January 30 2025.

He was born on July 13, 1956, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Mr. Floyd Duncan Rector and Mrs. Ethel Gipson Rector.

Mr. Rector was employed by Wright Trucking Company in Clay, KY; he was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, driving his truck, helping other, but most of all he enjoyed camping with his grandkids.

He is survived by his children, dawn (Cole) Rivers of Greenville, KY; Franklin (Myra) Rector of Manitou, KY; Christina (Jeramie Bourland) of Madisonville, KY; and John Lynd of Louisville, KY; his brothers, Bill (Jennifer) Rector of Nashville, TN; and Stephen Rector of Owensboro, KY; his grandchildren, Levi Cobb, Kaylee Cobb, James Wesley Rivers, Sarrah Rector, Collin Bourland, Abigail Bourland, Kassidy Rector, Kelsie Bourland, Kameron Bourland, Aniyah Lynd.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday February 5, 2025, in the chapel of Lewis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Graham Cemetery Hill in Graham, KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the service hour on Wednesday February 5, 2025, at the funeral home.
