Katheryn Gayle Summers,69, of Providence passed away at her home on January 4, 2020.

Mrs. Summers was born in Providence, KY on April 5, 1950 the daughter of the late Mr. Walter V. Dorris and Mamie Irene Hearrin. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister in law Wayne (Mary Ann) Dorris, and her brother in laws, Dale Campbell and Ronnie Brown.

Mrs. Summers worked as an LPN at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, Outwood in Dawson Springs, Ky and Shemwell's Health Care in Providence. She was of the Catholic faith, she enjoyed cooking, canning vegetables in the summer, playing cards, reading, and working puzzles.

Mrs. Summers is survived by her son Sean Summers of Evansville, IN; her siblings, Linda C. (Harold) Brown of Dixon, KY; Dorothy Campbell of Providence, KY; Barbara Brown of Diamond, KY; Dolores (Jim) Overby of Providence, KY; and Don (Brenda) Dorris of Jacksonville, FL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday January 19, 2020 at White Oak Cemetery near Clay, KY, with Bro. Kim Hudson officiating.
