Joyce Railey, 84, of Providence, KY passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville, KY.

Mrs. Railey was born on April 5, 1939, in Providence, KY, the daughter of the late Mr. Mack Phillips and Mrs. Flora Shields Phillips. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Gardner, Jewell Frederick, her brothers, Obea Phillips, Milburn Phillips, Wilburn Phillips, and her granddaughter, Stephanie Railey.

Mrs. Railey was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, travelling, spending time with her family, and a UK fan.

Mrs. Railey is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Railey of Providence, KY; her daughter, Julie (Bobby) Sellers of Princeton, KY; her son, Mike (Janet) Railey of Providence, KY; her brother, David (Norma) Phillips of Dixon, KY; her grandchildren, Christina (Jordan) Keyes, Jennifer (Jay) Thrasher, her great grandchildren, Duncan Keyes, Ellis Keyes, Railey Thrasher, Colten Thrasher, and Hutson Thrasher.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 1, 2024, at 2:00PM at the Second Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Harrison and Bro. Nick Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay, KY.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2024, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at Melton Funeral Home and from 12:00PM until the service hour on Thursday at the church.
