Jean Smith, 74, of Clay, KY passed away on Sunday November 27, 2023, at her home in Clay.

She was born on May 11, 1949, in Crittenden County, KY, the daughter of the late Miss Nettie Mae Hardin.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Wheeler.

She was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed reading, Shopping, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Smith of Clay, KY; two sons, Tim (Brandy) Smith of Clay, KY; David (Debbie) Smith of Clay, KY; three brothers, Robert Hardin, Johnny Hardin, and David Hardin all of Salem, KY; one grandson, Mason Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 29, 2023, at 1:00PM in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dale Williams officiating with burial to follow in the Green Grove Cemetery near Providence.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the service hour on Wednesday November 29, 2023, at Melton Funeral Home.
