James Leslie "Sonny" Alexander, 81, of Providence, KY passed away on Monday May 1, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.

Mr. Alexander was born on February 23, 1942, in Webster County, KY the son of the late Mr. Preston and Mrs. Georgia Williams Alexander. He is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Alexander.

Mr. Alexander is a member of Second Baptist Church in Providence, KY; an avid golfer, he enjoyed fishing and fishing in tournaments, and travelling with his wife Naomi.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 20 years, Naomi of Providence, KY; one daughter, Rhonda Alexander of Madisonville, KY; one son, Matthew (Alicia) West of Madison, IN; four grandchildren, Joshua, Gabriel, Christian, and Shelby, one sister, Kathy Alexander of Providence, KY; one brother, Kevin Alexander of Providence, KY.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023, at 11:00AM in the Lakeview Cemetery with Bro. Ralph Alexander officiating with burial to follow in the cemetery.
