Dorothy Pryor-Putty, 86, of Providence passed away on Friday, December 11 th , 2020 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville.
Ms. Pryor-Putty was born on March 15, 1934 in Webster County, KY. the daughter of the late Katherine and Lawrence Belt of Providence. She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Pryor. And her second husband the late Bobby Putty. And her son, Doug Pryor of Providence, 7 brothers – Elzie Belt, Allen Belt, Eddie Belt, Johnny Belt and Maurice Belt of Providence, Bobby Belt and Charles Belt of Sturgis. two sisters Mary Lois Boyd of Princeton and Loyce Ann Littlepage of Madisonville.
Ms. Pryor-Putty was a member of New Hopewell Church, Clay. She was a devout Christian and lived her life as such. She read her Bible daily if she was able. Ms Pryor-Putty worked in factories from the time she was 17 until she retired in her 60s. She retired from Plastic Factory-Hoover Line in Providence.
She is survived by her children: Sam (Wendy) Pryor of Climax Springs MO, Sandra Sandberg and Janet (Ricky) Gobin of Providence., one sister Polly Lee of North Carolina.; Her grandchildren, Nicole (Martin) Madina of Las Cruces, NM; Derrick (Kelly) Ray of Providence, Colby (Kris) Pryor of Madisonville, Jacob (Kendall) Pryor of Holt, MO, Brandon (Rachel) Pryor of Osan, South Korea, Andrew Pryor of Osage Beach, MO. John (Rachel) Sandberg of Madisonville and Jordan Sandberg of Providence,
Her great grandchildren: Andy Pryor, Alli Pryor, Calvin, Emily and Evie Pryor, Jude and Sadie Pryor, Easton and Bentley Ray, and Jayona and Preston Sandberg, Miles Reneau.
Services will be conducted by Melton Funeral Home in Providence. Due to Covid restrictions the service will be private with immediate family only.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery with her late husband, Dallas Pryor and her son, Doug Pryor.
Memorial contributions can be made to New Hopewell Church.
