Danny Franklin Gibson, 71, of Providence, KY passed away on January 15, 2025, at Madisonville Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY.

He was born in Providence, Ky on September 11, 1953, the son of Mrs. Betty Kelley Gibson and the late Mr. Ubert Franklin Gibson. He was preceded by his first wife and mother of his children, Georgia Gibson, and second wife, Sheritha Gibson.

Danny was a Christian and served as a door greeter at his church, he was a retired coal miner, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing yards, and playing rook cards.

He is survived by his mother, his daughter, Crisy Lapradd of Charleston, KY; his son, Brent (Janis) Gibson of Providence, KY; three sisters, Paula (Richard) Denton of Providence, KY; Mellessia Driver of Providence, KY; and Judith Travis of Providence, KY; his grandchildren, Lucas, Heath, Breanna, Kiera, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 20, 2025, at 2:00PM in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ralph Alexander officiating with burial to follow in White Oak Cemetery near Clay, KY.

The visitation will be held on Sunday January 19, 2025, from 1:00PM until 4:00PM and on Monday January 20, 2025, from 10:00Am until the service hour at Lewis Funeral Home LLC.
