Barbara Jean Wilcox, 79, of Providence, KY passed away peacefully on Monday March 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

Mrs. Wilcox was born on December 11, 1946, at Cardwell Hospital in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Lester Wyatt and Mrs. Virginia Regina Gold Wyatt.

Mrs. Wilcox was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, she worked for the City of Madisonville, she worked for various law offices in Madisonville, and retired from the law offices of Amealia Zachary, she enjoyed reading, watching TV, cooking for her family, and most of all spoiling her grandchild.

Mrs. Wilcox is survived by her husband of 52 years, David of Providence, KY; her daughter, Beth Onan of Providence, KY, bonus daughter, Jordahn Denny of Madisonville, KY; her sister, Kathy (Danny) Ford of Providence, KY her granddaughter, LilliAnne Onan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday March 7, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Lantrip, Bro. Ron Melton, and Bro. Johnnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2026, from 2:00PM until 7:00PM at Lewis Funeral Home LLC and from 11:00AM until the service hour on Saturday at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
